The bestofjoomla.com website, home of the famous Fireboard forum component has a teaser on it’s website.
What could this mean?
This is clearly a bit of a redesign, with a new and improved logo and likely a new website look.
Perhaps a website running Joomla! 1.5? This is very possible, as it seems unlikely that a major Joomla! third party developer (nor anyone following Joomla!) would relaunch their website and continue to use J1.0.13.
This is not big news alone, but perhaps this is the BOJ team preparing for a new Fireboard release.
It would make sense for the team to relaunch their website running a new version of their widely adopted forum component. What better way to show users that it is possible to make a quick transition to a new version.
I for one, can’t wait. If not a new version that is 1.5 native, then perhaps an extended preview? Perhaps the preview may include the famous module that allows in-content-item comment threads, mirrored in the forums. Exciting stuff to be sure!
